Chili Cook-Off Benefiting the Relay For Life of Tippecanoe County
Saturday, April 18th
Merou Grotto (1860 N. River Rd.)
$20 registration fee for each entry of Red Chili, Green (or white) Chili, and Salsa-may also have bake sale items/drinks at table for no additional registration fee
For chili only-may have 2 people at table (will receive 2 voting tickets for People’s Choice chili)
May have one additional person if including bake sale items/drinks
$5 registration fee for bake sale/drinks only (no chili)
Teams may set their own prices for bake sale/drink items
Money raised from bake sale/drink items will go towards the teams who provided the items
Must have a minimum of 10 teams signed up, with registration fees paid before Friday April 3rd, 2015

Cost of tickets will be $5 for adults, $2 for children 5-10, 4 and under will be free.
Guest will receive chili samples from each chili participant and 1 ticket each to vote on their favorite Red Chili, Green (or white) Chili, and Salsa
If guest would like a bowl of one or more particular chili, they may purchase it for $1 per bowl
Teams may pre-sale tickets-money raised from pre-sale tickets will be credited to the team(s) who sold the tickets. Pre-sale ticket packages will be available from the Edward Mc Keown at the Merou Grotto.
People’s Choice: Guests use their voting ticket to vote on their favorite chili.
Competition: Each team will be provided a numbered thirty-two (32) ounce cup to place chili for judging.
Judging for this portion will be double blind and in timed sections:
Red Chili Judging: 1:00pm
Green Chili Judging: 2:00pm
Salsa Judging: 3:00pm
1st place judging: 50% of registration fees credited to the teams Relay for Life total, plus a trophy
2nd place judging: 30% of registration fees credited to the teams Relay for Life total, plus a trophy
3rd place judging: 15% of registration fees credited to the teams Relay for Life total, plus a trophy
People’s Choice: 5% of registration fees credited to the teams Relay for Life total, plus a trophy
Must bring chili pre-cooked in crockpot to keep warm
Each cook will be provided with a voting container for attendees to place voting tickets in. It is the responsibility of the cook to retain and turn in the tickets cast by attendees.
