So we thought it flooded in 2013. Well, here’s a reminder of what it was like 50 years previously. Actually… 60 come to think of it.
Clarification for Wednesday Meetings (April 23rd).
GROTTO is at 6pm … We realize this is earlier than standard lodge meetings, but Grotto has a lot to discuss. Barbara and Karen (Sovereign Catering) will be at the Grotto meeting as well (Greg has been made aware of their request and agreed). The Mosey and Relay Committee meeting(s)/discussion is after that. All Lodge Brothers who can, should try to make the Mosey/Relay Meeting at 7pm. We need to have the support for these projects as well, and sitting idly by does no one any good.
There is NO MEAL with these.
Greetings Brothers *AND* Prophets,
J. Keith Henry, PM & Secretary @ Lafayette Lodge #123

It can be said that one of the best ways to know if you are alive or not is whether or not you are doing something useful. That is the same with us now. To that end, we’re generating a whole series of improvements that have been made. Along the way, we’re going to be making even more expansions to the content here.
For anyone who has been to the Merou Grotto in the past, this is located behind the main building above the back patio. This alcove has seen literally HUNDREDS of people perform their vows over the years. It has also we’ve learned recently, seen even a few funerals.
As you can see in the picture here, time and Mother Nature have not been kind to the Wall of Vows. Hence, it is an immediate project that we are undertaking with a completion deadline of May 20th, 2014. We’ll be building a “progress gallery” here, and afterwards pictures of the Wall of Vows in use perhaps even (with permission from our guests of course).
Welcome to the Merou Grotto! As we are now in a speed of progression, development and rehabilitation of our somewhat large facility and its’ surrounding grounds, this website will strive to fulfill the interests of it’s members and visitors alike. You will begin to find a great deal of resources here, including an expanded Gallery of both Old (and we mean old) and New Media. So join us! Browse, and enjoy!
